Abigail (Abby) Russ, P.E.

Abby is a business strategist, investor and operator who helps companies find and act on improvement, growth and expansion opportunities. She builds strategic plans that organizations can actually carry out. Over her career she has led more than $8 billion in transactions, acquisitions and commercial agreements. That work includes 11 years in commercial strategy, capital projects and strategic ventures at ExxonMobil, followed by roles as Vice President and Board Member for Apollo Global Management affiliates. Since co-founding R Squared, she has advised clients in energy, logistics, construction, real estate, technology and robotics. In 2023 she founded Ellacap, a lower middle market advisory, accounting and investment firm, where she serves as Managing Partner. She cares deeply about developing employees and building strong mentoring relationships.

Abby holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Purdue's College of Engineering named her its 2018 Outstanding Young Alumnus. Abby serves on the board of Family Violence Prevention Services and she is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.

Abby lives in Texas with her husband, Andy, their daughter and their golden retriever, Dutch.
